How to Create a "Brush in a Lid" Glue-Container Brush in a Lid Glue-Container

Article Created by Brother_Bear.

What you need to get going:

A clean and empty plastic container with a airtight lid. In my case an old icecream tub.
A sharp knife
A waterproof marker
A Brush
A Hotglue gun
A Cutting board

what you need

Measuring the Hole
Measure out the hole for the brush in the lid of the container by placing the brush on the lid like in the pictures and drawing around it. If done correctly it should look like in the pictures

Cutting it Out
Cut along the lines you've just made being careful not to cut the hole too big. A tight fit is better than a lose one.
Oh and try not to cut yourself.

Fitting and Gluing
Fit the brush in the lid and close the container making sure the brush is just resting on the bottom of the container and standing reasonably straight up. Then glue the brush with the gluegun to the lid. Use A LOT of glue to ensure a tight seal and look at the rest of the pictures. If you're going to smooth the glue with your finger, which isn't necessary or a good idea (I'm just stupid that way), dip your finger in some cooking/baby-oil or lick it first or you'll probably suffer a second degree burn.

Now you're finished go out and paste instead of vegetating in front of your 'puter.
